What if you could analyze hundreds, if not thousands, of articles almost instantly? What if you could use that data to make better investment decisions? That is the goal of Babbl, a startup that uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to digest the vast amount of information online and turn it into actionable investment insights. NLP is a popular tool for investors, allowing them to quickly and accurately analyze data for valuable insights. Machine learning algorithms help identify patterns and trends, enabling investors to make informed decisions for better returns and reduced risk. As technology advances, NLP will become an even more powerful tool for beating the market.
I recently had the opportunity to speak with Sam Cartford, CTO and Co-Founder of Babbl. Their startup is striving to provide investors with AI stock market news and social media monitoring tools to help them find market-moving news 100x faster.

About Flora: Flora is a plant-care ecosystem that provides a community, an app, and a remote monitoring device that saves your plants!
About the Founder: Aabesh is an ex-serial plant killer who's found his passion for plants through Flora. He started Flora at the height of the pandemic, after killing his mother's rose bush plant that she had for years, in just 8 short days. He took it upon himself to create a device that would take the guesswork out of plant-care, and Flora soon began to sprout.

Esker was launched in 2018 by Shannon Davenport. After a decade of working in New York City as a trend forecaster, where she helped major corporate brands shape their identities based on her research across beauty, design, art, and consumer trends, she decided to launch Esker as a way to act on her own ideas and build the brand she wanted to see in the world. She knew she wanted to create a brand with integrity and honesty as its cornerstones, and to make clean, safe products that nourish the body and elevate the way we care for it.
As she discovered the benefits of plant-based beauty and body care, she fell in love. She enrolled at the New York Institute of Aromatherapy, where she received her certification in aromatherapy and became a NAHA Aromatherapy Advocate. She soon realized that the beauty industry didn’t seem to take the clean movement seriously and that body care was consistently an afterthought. Esker was born right around the same time as Shannon's first child. She introduced the line with three custom-crafted body oil formulas carefully formulated with responsibly-sourced ingredients to nourish skin from head to toe.
By leveraging high-quality, natural essential oil formulations beneficial to the skin, Esker aims to transform simple body care routines into meditative rituals that heal, restore, and hydrate skin. Esker is carefully crafted in the US. Our family-operated business was created in Los Angeles, and the brand is now based in Austin.

In this episode, we talk to Juan of Clockout. Clockout is helping workers get their money faster. Clockout enables millions of restaurant employees to break free from paycheck-to-paycheck schedules.
A word from Juan: Raised in Venezuela, and moved to the USA 8 years ago. Started my startup journey last January 2021 with Walla, my first attempt at a fintech startup. Walla was intended to be a multi-currency Venmo for the unofficially dollarized economy. In parallel, I was working as a server at a restaurant where Clockout came about. With the support of family members, raised friends, and family started building Clockout to empower low-income earners to take control of their compensation for the rest of their lives. Went through techstars farm to fork this past summer, and dropped out from University of Florida.
